I would like to put money on them paying for the seals (£10) being the primary cause but the secondary cause of the engine failing would be "someone else's problem".... I've seen these claims before where a wheel bearing went and the car rolled... essentially writing it off but the insurance paid for a new wheel bearing.

Insurance = dirty bastards.
