So true.

In summer, a scoob gets toasted by a Megane RS. In winter the 4WD compensates for the understeer. Store it in summer, get it out in winter :)

Mine is in the process of being settled for the winter. Thorough clean last weekend followed by several coats of Wax over the next few weeks. Tyre pressure increased as suggested.

Becuase you are all part-time Petter Solberg's? FFS. Given your history of driving on snow Swede, I'd question your ability to park your car in the garage without damaging it. Snow + Evo + Lampost = Mr Fruppet.

i gate-crashed a classic car rally that the in laws were doing once in the Focus ST. One of the guys caused a huge traffic jam by not wanting to go through a muddy puddle. He eventually turned round and went home as to not get his show condition classic car mucky. So i can see one extreme to the other here.

Everyone likes their car and its always nice to have a nice shiny clean car to show off to your friends. I dont think i would get upset over using a car in winter though as everything else on the road would be filthy too so your all in the same boat. With regards to the Scoob like many have said its designed for it so should be good fun in the snow as mine was last year :)

Is it not better to remove the tyres completely and leave the car on axle stands :?:

Not if you have a garage the same size as mine i can only just get out of the car after putting it in there, never mind trying to get the jack under it to put it on the axle stands. :D
