Another quality service from Adam@Autotecnica

Postby John Mc » Mon Nov 09, 2009 3:40 pm

Just been to Adam @ Autotecnica for an interim oil change and managed to also fix a split gaitor on the driveshaft, refill the cooling system with antifreeze mixture instead of what could only be described as "water" plus a few other bits and pieces to tidy the car up for winter! Plus determine the next set of "jobs for the new year..." [Brakes and discs all round and new exhaust!!]

Very thorough detail from Adam, much appreciated and a top price too :thumb:

Worth the 4 hour round trip any day of the week. Cheers.

When we got it up on the ramps, it was rusted heavily and probably close to going through in the middle section. Back box is OK though. It could do with a SS middle section but if I'm going to do that, I may as well get 2 sections - middle and back and do it properly?

Brakes have a 1mm lip on the discs all round (seem to be evenly worn) and the pads are nearing their wear limits. Luckily I don't do many miles so I'll be able to do this in the new year when funds are available!!

The good thing about "working" with Adam is that he takes the time to explain and show you things and lets you have a look around the car undeneath when you are there (all being safe of course).
