Bugatti Veyron Maintenance Costs

Postby presa900 » Fri Aug 07, 2009 9:59 am

I thought an article in this months EVO mag might be of interest. We often discuss the higher than average running costs of the WR1, but the costs of running a Veyron are in another league, infact a league of there own

Info taken from EVO Mag Sept 09......

1st Service - £13,645 (£6000 of which is labour) and the cheapest service

Bugatti insist tyres are changed every 2500 miles at £6325 each and only Bugatti can fit them!

All 4 alloys wheels have to be replaced every third tyre change i.e 7500miles.......cost £29,900.

Standard 2 year warranty included, extra year £38,000 and £63,000 for two.

So in summary based on buying the car new £975,000 owning for 4 years @ 3000 miles per year gives....

Servicing £56,000
Tyres £101,200
Wheels £29,900
Depreciation £275,000
TOTAL £462,100

Cost per mile..........£38.51

You seriously need to have no comprehension of the word budget to own this car unbelieveable

Buy one but sell it before its 1st service

You do wonder where they come up with prices from? £30k for wheels! thats £7500 a wheel with a £6k tire on them thats £13,800 a corner!

I'd better cancel my order they never told me the costs involved

staggering but im sure if you had enough money to buy one, these "incidental" costs wouldn't bother you

Still imagine how much money you could potentially make at that.

Would easily be a 1500 pounds a day. Or rented 10k for the week.
Buying the car but purchasing as a business means you get to nip around in a Veyron as a JOB.
