North Sea helicopter crash

I know there are quite a few of the guys from this site that live up here, work offshore, hope they are alright.

its shocking news, i am offshore the now!!! supposed to be a meeting at bristow helicopters this afternoon and they are going to tell us what they have heard from bond helicopters.

An absolute tragedy for this area, I was very surprised not to actually know any of the deceased, lets hope the crash investigation is extensive and something good comes of it such as tighter safety regulations for servicing of these helicopters.
Previously: Everything With 4 Wheels over 300bhp

Currently: M6 (57) & Hilux Invincible (60)

Did'nt one go down a few months back, but no loss of life that time.

Thats correct mate, it was only weeks ago another bond helicopter ditched in the North Sea, thankfully all survived.

There are 40,000 flights a year out of Aberdeen to North Sea Platforms, so its hardly surprising that there are incidents of this nature.

Let's hope they get answers for this one swiftly.

Knew 2 of the guys that were killed, had worked with one of them with two different service companies only a couple of years older than me with 2 kids.
Totally gutted for all involved,
