We had a family come round to look at the VW Polo we're selling on Saturday. The missus agreed a price with them and they left a

if it was me chris i would give it him back, seeing he knows where you live, might do some nasty things, if hes a bit of a nutter.

I guess it could be an idea. The guy just seems to be a bit of a numpty. I've got his address as well. And i am a nutter!

Chris the idea of a deposit is to stop you selling the car to anybody else. If he dicks you about it is his loss. You've turned people away on the strength of him buying it and you'll have to re-advertise it again. Ask him for another 50 quid
