I didnt read that he had not previously flown that model of helicopter ?
Fair enough his type approval had expired but im sure he was still competent, however knowing his passion for adrenalin, I can believe he was "showing off" and most likely it was pilot error. With that conclusion, its dissapointing to hear, I would have thought he was a responsible individual and especially with children on board. A tragic loss of life. Previously: Everything With 4 Wheels over 300bhp

yer i agree with the things above... no one would try and fly something they clearly cant unless they had a death wish...
It doesn't say anywhere he never flew this type of copter. It says his licence was out of date for this type of helicopter.
Still pointless to go fingerpointing at people. Not gonna bring anyone back. ![]()
