Wanted new pressure washer

Postby WR1 Bro » Mon Feb 09, 2009 9:46 am

Guys,

I'm in the market for a new pressure washer. After 10-12 years loyal service from my Karacher it is on its last legs.

Ideally I would love a pressure washer with the function of heating water. Can anyone recommend a good pressure washer with this feature?

Cheers,
Stu

How much you looking to spend mate? We've got a heated Karcher at work (HDS601 ECO) and it's the dogs danglies, however you're looking at best part of £1500...

I'm also in the market for one, not sure my budget can stretch that far though although it would be nice. The ones that heat are probably out of my price range.

What model did you have before Bro, it sounds like it lasted the distance pretty well?

Budget is maybe £500. Seems a hot water pressure washer is probably out of the question!

Just in the door with a new washer, got a Karcher nothing fancy really got it from Argos as i used the nectar points we collect from our paint supplier. Was gonna get a better one from a site my mate gave me the link to that do factory reconditioned Karachers but couldn't pass at getting a free washer :D

Bro there is a heated one in the argos catalogue for 700 (karacher) & i'll try find the link to that site for reconditioned ones if you want it.

Wasn't fussed about all the add ons you can get for patios etc but i will be ordering the foamer bottle from the Polished Bliss site when i get my order sorted out with what else i'm wanting. Going to go down the Jeffs acrylic route after your recommendation Clark.

Just put a hot water tap outside, that's what I did... I've got a Karcher '530M' which is a bit old but still does the job and with hot water!!

Argos one @ £700 seems a little low on the pressure side of things. Seems to be the cheapest hot water option so far.

For a pressure washer  Are you mad :?

Homebase special for me the other month - about 60 quid i think it was, does everything my karcher did and has a longer hose.

I don't mind spending a few extra quid because it is something a I use very frequently. If it last 10-12 years like my last one then the cost per use is worth it.

700 ?

Why hot water ?

It melts the carnauba off your car :( Always do cold water.

I really can't see that a wash with warm water is going to remove a significant amount of Carnauba wax?

Why hot water - cleaning products work better with some heat.

Just picked up another Karcher K3.99 myself Bro, just a cheapo £199 job again though, it does me for all I use it, I did get a free patio cleaning head, could not resist trying it out, I now have one clean step near my front door, after that exertion, I quickly found excuses and left the gf to tidy it away into the garage.

p.s heated one would be nice.
