Nice find btw, Spike. Thanks for putting it up.

Unfortunately, this is a copy based on an urquattro. It was built by a company called Dynalynx. Probably an interesting car, but unfortunately not worth anywhere near £35000.

What makes the Sportquattro ferociously expensive, except for its exclusivity, is the fact that it has a kevlar bodywork weighing only 990kg. The Dynalynx car still weighs 1240kg.
This car also still has the raked coupe windscreen whereas the real Sportquattro has the Audi 80 screen that was more vertical and gave less reflections for the drivers. It also fitted better with the shape of the shorter car.

Then there is the base engine which is totally different. The Sportquattro had a 2133cc* 20V engine that was used as base for the Group B cars. Bit of tuning and you get 600bhp out of it

* In comparison, the 'normal' engine had 2144cc which made it 1.2cc too big to rally in the 3.0 litre catergory (after application of the 1.4 multiplier for the use of the turbo).
The engine in this car is the 1989-born 2226cc 'RR' that sat also in the Audi 200 20V, the last urquattros, the S2 and the original S4. It was also used as base in the RS2. The engine is much more modern with a smaller turbo, better emissions etc. But not rallybred at all.

As a reminder, this is a real Sportquattro ;)
