An absolute tragedy for this area, I was very surprised not to actually know any of the deceased, lets hope the crash investigation is extensive and something good comes of it such as tighter safety regulations for servicing of these helicopters.

Thats correct mate, it was only weeks ago another bond helicopter ditched in the North Sea, thankfully all survived.
There are 40,000 flights a year out of Aberdeen to North Sea Platforms, so its hardly surprising that there are incidents of this nature. Let's hope they get answers for this one swiftly. Previously: Everything With 4 Wheels over 300bhp

Knew 2 of the guys that were killed, had worked with one of them with two different service companies only a couple of years older than me with 2 kids.
Totally gutted for all involved, RIP The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.
An absolute tragedy mate, when I saw it on the news my heart just sank and my thoughts just went straight to those peoples families.
