Thats Bob Rawle unfortunately at SSO last weekend.

thats what happens with Toyo R888's when you hit a huge puddle at speed.

He text me that evening - it happened just after the lights and his speed was 126 mph  He described it as 'interesting'

Not good, lucky to get out of that one OK. As mentioned cars can easily be replaced, so as long as noone hurt I guess you have to put it down to experience - tough break though, feel sorry for the geeza

Whats the deal on these 1/4 mile days - can you insure your car like you can on a trackday ?

I was at Elvington on Monday at a sprint and had a look at the end of the 1/4 to see how this could have happened, i thought it must have been standing water, the runway surface at the end is very uneven and the amount of rain we had that day it's hardly surprising, I saw it happen twice, the first scoob was more fortunate and stopped just short of the field  lucky man, its amazing how much faster you go on the green stuff.

Hope the scoob gets sorted, not nice to see.
