I'll aim to do the same. Intermediate sounds about right. Shame you can't see who has opted for which group on the booking.

I'm booked as intermediate, but seeing as ours is a race car rather than a track day car, and the fact that I'll give some time over to Tom for him to get some practice in prior to the races hat weekend I might change to Advanced. Would make it more even as we don't want everyone going out in the same session. I understand that you can change on the day, but you need to nominate at sign-on as the bands will be different.

Its this week now :D

No pit garages though because of the GTs on saturday :(

Fingers crossed for the weather.

Everyone ready? Still got to stick in a new set of front pads and remove the rear seats - tomorrow night me thinks that way a couple of days driving to/from work should bed them in nicely.

I will nip up on the bike later on Dan if the weather is good. What time are you all on track until?

i'm guessing 5ish, however depending on how things are going/when the sessions fall I might make a move a bit earlier than that

Fantastic day - love donnington.

Finally got a run out in rocky, but gearbox issues sidelined the car at lunch.

Had many a battle with the smurf until a wierd turbo issue lost him all boost and put the car in limp mode midway through the afternoon sessions - we were about to call it a day anyway so left about 3ish.

Got a few pics but not uploaded yet - will try and do so over the next couple of days.

I was just about to ask the same Mr Dougie.

I went to bed on Thursday evening fully intending to drop in at Donnington. As it turned out I had a sloppy botty from all the bugs flying around at the moment and decided to get paid at work for sitting on the throne.

Yep, loads and loads of grip through Craner's. Just a pity about losing third gear. New gearbox on its way plus time with Owen Developments for fine-tuning the map.

Who cares about Rocky. The race team running Tom set the lap record for Donington two days later, led the race, and finished in another podium position.

I truly don't understand the WR1 members sometimes. You are sitting on an independently-recognised F1 talent in this club, yet most of you show the enthusiasm of a ten year-old being told to wash the dishes.

Bizarre.

Get over it Fraser, what do you suggest we all do? Send money? Wear Tom T shirts everywhere?

You have to respect that people have families and don't want to go to watch a load of drivers they know nothing about or don't know driving round in circles around a track, particularly on a track day.

Fraser, I think it is great that you have a passion for Tom and Robin with what they are trying to do. It sounds like a great hobby if not slightly expensive. However, as Marky Mark badly explained in a rather rude manner some people have other priorities. Mine at present usually involve a trip to a Safari Park, Science muesem or just a bog standard park with slides and a swing. I'd love to have more time to piss about with cars, my WR1 has not been out the garage for over two months, but kids grow up fast and they come first for me.

Having said that, I've got a night off tonight until 3pm tomorrow when I'll be at a childs birthday party..... That'll test the hangover.

Best of luck Fraser, hope it continues to go well.

Bro is right, that is a bit rude (even for me) so i appologise Fraser.

I blame it on friday morning @ 6.30 a.m.
