Charity Track Day at Bruntingthorpe 14th August

Is any one interested in a day out at Bruntingthorpe for a charity track day? This is run in association with Asda and we've been for the last 2 years and it's a great day out. Each club/group is limited to 15 cars so if anyone is interested it's got to be on a first come first served basis.

Basically you get a free track day in exchange for scaring the bejesus out of members of the public, who are paying

A few more details about the Bruntingthorpe Charity Track Day to try and tempt you. It isn't just a blokes day out type of thing. It's aimed at the whole family so there will be lots to occupy everyone. Last year there was a rock band playing for most of the day, small number of fairground attractions for the young uns, food and drink outlets, static aircraft to look at including a Lightning Fighter Jet. One of the highlights last year was a drag race between a Nissan Skyline and a Hawker Hunter Jet - the Skyline won - just!!!
Anyone coming as an exhibitor will park on the static display arena right next to the track and there is no admission fee for you or your passengers, just the

Last call for names for the Bruntingthorpe Charity Track Day.

So far we have only got 4 cars, which is a shame. If the last two years that we've been going, is anything to go by, it will be a fantastic day

I need to let the organiser know by next week, so if any of you are interested please get your names down. Entry is by ticket only and exhibitors (that's us lot) will have a pass to get into the ground. Even if you don't want to drive people round the track, you can just park on the static display area and look pretty  then you can have the cr@p scared out of you by having a ride in some of the other cars there.
Here is the link to Bruntingthorpe Proving ground. There is a map and plan of the track.

An update for Bruntingthorpe Charity Track Day. As there are only 4 drivers so far, we will be put on a gate with another car club, might possibly be other Scoobies as there were some there last year. It is entry by ticket only (free to us as exhibitors, but we'll still need the ticket to get in) so if anyone is still interested for the track or static display please let me know. The organiser will send the tickets to me a couple of weeks before the show, so I need to know how many cars there will be as the ticket covers the car regardless of how many people are in it.
It is estimated that there will be 12,000 visitors and 160 cars. There will possibly be a Red Arrows fly-past. There will be a drag race between a Dodge Viper and a plane of some sort. There may be the opportunity to drive different vehicles yourself, JCBs, etc which is always good for a laugh.

I have only just noticed this thread so appologies for the late reply.

Please put me down for the track defo - I did this event last year and there was only 2 of us Scoobies running so we shared a pit with an Evo (with nitro ) and a Catarham.

The yank cars hated us as we left them through the corners and they could not catch back up on the straight!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be warned - On the long back straight the TVR's sail past while you are flooring it.

Keep us informed
See you then
Tim.
Tim,

It wasn't me officer
It was the car behind

Should be getting some passes soon, so we'll have to sort out how to get them to you all. I can post them to you or we can all meet up somewhere. I'll PM people on the list when I get the passes.
