Chris and Rosy... what a cracking event and by far the most organised gate of the day. The effort you guys put into help the charity is amazing and you should feel really proud of yourself.

In addition the guys behind the steering wheels were fantastic. Putting there cars around the track so many times to help raise money and put smiles on peoples faces.

Every drive was different in its approach but every drive was a thrill.

Of the drivers I paid to go out with....

Gazman - smooth and very controlled showing the vast ability of a standard WR1. I was absolutely astounded by his and the cars performance.

WOZA - aggressive, aggressive and a little more aggressive! The arrogance of almost sitting facing the passenger as he threw his car around the bends seemingly not looking where he was going. Quality thrill...

Spike - the car served you well  No seriously, you really surprised me fella and certainly entertained me with what seemed like a vastly different approach to the track than anyone else. In fairness I paid to go out twice with Spike.

Poesy - For giving the EVO8 a beasting with that on a level of Woza in his WR1. It isn't hard to see how you get through the clutches. Great lap with a massive smile factor.

I didn't get the chance to go out with Robocop which was a shame as the word on the street is very complimentary about his driving.

I hope I haven't missed anyone off that I went out with.

Both Heather and myself loved the entire day and will certainly be top of the list for next year.

It was a really fun day! Sophie loved it as well, and thanks to Spike for taking her out and being a nice guy. :thumb:

Corinna wants me to sell the car and get an Exige. :D

Great organisation and dedication to from Chris and Rosy.

Gutted Poesy went home before i got a chance to go in with him, and fair play for him carrying on after damaging his car early doors. 8)

That was a superb day folks.

Combination of a hefty social night out saturday and a very early start today meant that we decided to arrive early and leave early but we both enjoyed every minute of our time there and thanks to all for making us feel very welcome.

Rosy your a star and glad things went so well.

Bro, Heather was the best passenger of the day, hillarious, great fun to take round. Think I was probably the worst

Spike - always a pleasure fella.

Markymark, your misses is correct, the exige was unbelievable, my favourite ride of the day.

Mac-1 - good to finally meet you and youll have to let me know how the in-car footage turns out.

Hope everyone else had just as much fun and see you all again next year.

Right, how much for an evo8 front wing

I was looking for a picnic spot for next year.

Right bend before the mini chicane - back end starts going out, I correct it and thought I had hold of it till it swung back too much. I think I then lifted off when I perhaps should have stayed planted on the gas? You live and learn... no damage down and it was great fun. So much so, I want to do it again.

Did anyone else come off?

Guys,

What a day!! I thought that last year was good but this was on a different level. Got to know a few of you better than I had previously and went out in a good selection of cars.

Spike: Ta for the ride. Like the anti-lag

Gazman: Impressive driving. Wish I could drive like that.

Posey: Rory said thanks for the ride. I think that he is in love with your motor.

Mac-1: You'll have to let me see the vids.

Chris & Rosy: Thanks for the well organised club presence and for making me and my mates feel welcome.

Here are a collection of pics which Rory and I took. Also have some vids to upload when I get a chance.

I'm flattered you show such an interest in me Mick C. May i ask why?

Not this year, my daughter was with me so we spent a lot of time doing all the other things (off roading etc.)

Did the day last year and was a little miffed at the state of my bonnet, splitter and bumper as well so gave it a miss.

Track was definetly not as stony this year.

Fantastic day all round 8)

Best moment for me was the little fella who came for a ride...

LF:"Mr could you please go no faster than 60, I could passout if you go any faster, because of my condition :? "
pooster"Ok fella if thats what you want then we will  ..."

After leaving the pitlane down the strait first bend
LF "Can we do 80 now :D "
p "ok just say how fast you want me to go to"

As we went round rest of the bends throuh the chicane just before entering the long strait

LF "Could we go to 120"
p ".....there you go 120"

LF " ...130
p".....130"
then screeehing round the final corner

Absolutly priceless that lap alone was worth all the effort to do this event

Roll on next year :D :D

For those who did'nt make it :?
Make it so next time round

It kind of brings it home when you actually take the little fellas out and get a big smile :D after all the day is for these little chaps :thumb: :thumb:

Great pics Simon and as Martin has said we must try to get a bigger turn out next year as this is such a good day and I must say this year has been the best so far,as soon as we know the final amount that was raised we will let you all know and the most important thing was seeing the kids faces,it sort of puts or should I say gets you to think about what is really important, and the mum of one of the lads who seemed to like our cars and company came and thanked me at the end of the day.
Great work guys.

There's little I can add to the sentiments already posted here, save to add my own thanks to not only Chris and Rosy for their dedication and hard work throughout the day, but also to everyone that turned out on the day.

My day was somewhat different to everyone else's as my Type 25 was absent due to servicing commitments. Oh, how I would have longed to take the big boy out on the track that day! There is nothing that puts a bigger smile on my face than putting a smile on somebody elses.

Nevertheless, because I was only a spectator for the day that did give me the opportunity to get a balanced view of how each club performed on the day. In monetary terms it is a credit to the British public that they realised the Ferrari's were more concerned with their bodywork whereas the WR1OC were significantly more interested in showing every single paying passenger a thoroughly good time. This is borne out by some
serious spectating at the bottom end of the track whereby I could watch overall back straight speed, braking points, entry and exit lines through two vital last corners. The Skylines looked best though as their drift-work looked outstanding, albeit most of it must have been electronically assisted.

Gazman tops the polls for me. His driving remains seriously committed when I would want to start thinking about protecting my engine  . Smooth and easy on brakes, he was able to lap the track time and time again with no angst whatsoever. Gaz, I know the 1 has a limited life right now but each and every one of us is behind you and where the will exists......

A mention in despatches must also go to Adrian in his Lotus. What fun! Thanks also to Pasty and Chris B for thrilling rides too.

Particular thanks also to Audiofusion and Rory. Your photos are superb. I forgot me effin' camera on the day, along with a cap, sun tan lotion etc. Ironically (and laughably) I brought a helmet instead

One little lad stands out in my memory of the day, and he is already mentioned earlier in the thread. However, he stands on all our shoulders as an example to us all. I used to look like him. In fact, I was worse. Having not enough skin to cover your body gives you a different look in your eyes and the minute-by-minute suffering is exhausting and demoralising. I sincerely hope he had a good time, and I'm sure he did in the capable hands of our club members. Thank you to you all for making the day so special for so many people.
