Renault Sport World Series @ Donnington

Postby presa900 » Mon Jun 18, 2007 12:31 pm

Check out the links below

http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/

http://www.renault.co.uk/worldseries/?cc=WS07SWRP

Second link is to apply for free tickets. I have just ordered a couple and I know others who are going.

They have the Clio Cup, Megane Trophy, Formula Renault, showcase laps by the R26 F1 car, classic performance Renaults, Renault owners clubs.
Held at Donnington so a good circuit and as near as it gets for me.
Will be a day of Renault, Renault, Renault, can't complain if its for free.
Any excuse to see a formula one car in action for free is worth a look 8)

Definitely going to be there on Sunday. The only question mark might be who I have in the car. I might have family in tow, but.... as Nicolas will only be 5 months old then I'm not sure about noise levels for his ickle ears. I'll have to have a natter with the missus about whether she wants to go or not

I might go up on the Saturday also, but only for the races in the afternoon, so we could meet at Leicester Forest East services potentially. Are you staying up there Saturday night?

All, if there's a bunch of us going for the Sunday is there any merit in starting a name list for this?

Saturday

1. Houdini - afternoon TBC

Good stuff :thumb: Meet up at Leicester Forest East (Northbound) at 08:30? If anyone has spare tickets can they publish this in case any other members want to go too? I'll chat withy the missus and put the response up - hopefully it can be something that can be put in print

I'll probably be there just Sunday, depending on if everything has gone according to plan before that. I've got 4 tickets, and doubt i'll need all of them, but will keep you posted closer to the time :D

You're not wrong Fraser, but I then realised last week that me and Nicole had booked to go camping for a long weekend in the Lake District, just plain bad planning on my part

Muppetry certificate is duly awarded :shake: Ironically, didn't Renault use the name Nicole in their adverts to help advertise the Clio?

Went saturday, World Series by Renault cars are superb to watch, loads of action, crashes and theyre quick. Problem is after them everything else seemed so slow by comparison and therefore a little boring - except for the F1 car demo  that thing was awesome. Loved the burnouts and donuts. Plus the red arrows, always liked them.

Fair play to Renault the sideshows were excellent, they must have spent £££££ loads and we were knackered when we got back to the car.

Thoroughly recommend it to anyone next year. Just get there and leave early, heard some people talking about 3 hr queues to get in !!!! we had about a 30 min wait so not too bad.
