Easytrack update

Postby danr55 » Mon Feb 12, 2007 12:00 pm

to save everyone phoning I've been in touch this morning.

They will have some news for us on Wednesday, but by the sounds of things, Oulton will give them a replacement day to offer us, we can take this up or use credit against another track day with them. doesnt sounds like a cash refund is an option.

On a similar note, they are going to let me know what spaces they have in October for Spa...

I am glad they are talking to you....

I've been e-mailing them and as yet I have not had a useful response.

spoken to them again, they pointed me to their forum where i picked this up:

Anyone who books a trackday (anywhere) should be aware and accept that if weather prevents or stops a day that there is no right to refund or credit. This is because venue owners UK wide cover this in their T&Cs, so organisers and clubs have to pass this on. If they did not, trackdays in the UK would be history, all of them.
HOWEVER, most circuits can and are reasonable though this needs a "softly-softly" approach. Usually the best hoped for is a similar day, which because they run a capacity, is usually 12 months away. If you dont like this: take up a different hobby!

HOWEVER no.2: Being extra specially softly-softly though has resulted (and you'll only see it here - aint we brilliant!) in a favourable term with both Bedford and Oulton regarding last weekend and we can now state that all confirmed bookings from the events on the 10th will be credited the full amount of the place booking towards ANY other Bedford or Oulton event in 2007 (we are adding 6 more of each next week). If you had extras booked too (instruction, helmet hire) they will be carried over onto that booking.

Thanks to the 99.9% of the booked attendees who were mature & understanding and by that helped with the negotiations with the circuit owners.

A (very very) few exceptions though: where people have been abusive to the venue staff and/or our staff either in person, phone, forum or email.. they will be pointed in the way of the T&Cs and asked to look elsewhere in future so the rest wont need to worry about the rotten apples ruining it for others.

Full details will be emailed out early next week.

basically we can swap to another Oulton day, new dates will be released soon, apparently.... we can't get a refund, or cant use credit against a day elsewhere. will keep an eye on their site for more days at oulton i guess. p1ss up number 2 in wilmslow here we come !
