Big thanks to JWS!

Postby jaycee » Sun Nov 14, 2004 7:46 pm

That run out was certainly something!!

I'm shattered now!

"severe dip" The sign should've said "f*cking severe dip"

I saw you as you went past me on the way home but I was too tired to even try and catch you!

Loads to say but I'll finish later.

I'll second that jaycee, what a fantastic day out, how do you decide on a route like that?
Well done JWS

WOW !!! what a Blast,

Under exteme G-Force you get black outs -- well those Severe Dips gave me a black out !!!

G-Force over the top or what !!

I Have never been on such good rally roads. THis was a Rally of a Lifetime.
Hope JWS does another one for Spring (but a bit shorter ;) ) as i put 700 miles on my WR1 since Saturday afternoon !!!

What a Run

Good one JWS !!! ill have the Pics up soon.

After a good nights sleep I now have the energy to be able to press keys!

Well we covered every road type and condition and in all weathers!
The high points for me were keeping up with JWS and Al for a while, how did you keep that level of performance up all day???  Nutters!!
The low points were the fog and trying to keep up with you on the last stint, I hate driving in fog and you were far too quick for me over those single track roads on the last stint!! Call me a girl, I don't care!
Sorry to have kept you all waiting!!

I had a vectra diesel in front of me over some moors type roads and he took some getting past. In fact he pulled over to let me by! I just couldn't get a long enough run at him inbetween bends to nail him.

I certainly learnt a lot about my car yesterday and the drive to work this morning was more interesting than usual!

One final thought, there is no substitute for driver ability (or madness!), we had cars ranging from 240bhp-315bhp and there wasn't a lot in it until the roads tested the driver and not the car.

Thanks again for a great day out, pity we missed lunch though cos I was starving!!

All I can do is second all that has been said, thankyou for sorting it all JWS, it was a top day even if I did crick my neck early on, sorry I,ve been so long in posting but have been driving all day, done 734 miles today and averaged 24.3 mpg at an average of 61.2 mph so not bad. so in two days B15UMO has done nearly 1150 miles.
I,ll read everything else tomorrow, time for a beer and bed now.................................. night-night........ sumo.

Thanks guys for all the replys im glad you all enjoyed it some great roads out there to test all skills, time for a corny line but surley the thanks goes to subaru/prodrive because the wr1 has no problem coping with the varying road types and conditions its truley an awsome car to drive.A slight glimpse into the world of driving a rally car me thinks :D
Hopefuly i will organise another life experiance for you in the new year  maybe this time alittle shorter with more time for some lunch and chat :D
Any ways thanks to everybody for turning up and making it all worthwhile (especialy brian you need a medal mate)great to put faces to names,to those who couldnt make it you will have another chance watch this space :D
