Karting- 5.30 18th December.

Postby jaycee » Fri Nov 05, 2004 2:54 pm

The track is ours!!

The "amenities" are pretty limited but there is a bowling alley and a bar next door!

We now have another choice to make....

1. Endurance racing? 7 teams of 3 battle it out for 2 hours.
or
2. Grand Prix racing? Indidvidual racing where talent shows!!

The price is the roughly the same.
I have paid the deposit so if anybody doesn't want to take part please let me know so I can re-allocate the place.

Feedback please.

We will go with the flow on which you or others choose Jaycee,

While we were there last week they were doing the GP racing, it looked well organised, 5 karts on the track, next 5 waiting in the pit area, I think they were doing 6 laps then coming in, the next 5 were straight out, on the line and away, no messing, also everyone got the same number of races / laps.
Cannot comment on the Endurance
Coffee, soft drinks and snacks were available

I'll speak to them and make sure we get plenty of laps.

Just my thoughts but if we do the endurance it could work out to be more social getting every one together etc, also you get much longer in the kart 6 laps is not long if i remember correctly you hardly have time to get used to the kart. But having said that im happy to go with the flow :D

You definatly get more laps in an endurance but there are downsides to it aswell,

If your a slow driver you feel like you've let the team down and/or there are ifs and buts at the end blaming you.

if you get a bad kart, you've got it for the duration

In my opinion we are better off doing a Grand Prix, we'll still get chance to chat while the racing is on,

either way I'm loking forward to it......... sumo

Grand prix it is!
The WYIOC are joining us so it will give us more opportunity to thrash them!!

Everybody knows there is always at least one slow kart and we wouldn't want any excuses!!
