I used to go to Scotland every year as a kid bang opposit Skye to a tiny village called Arnisdale sat on the side of lock Hourn.

The roads up there are a bit tight, mostly single track with passing points and the scenery is mind blowing.

There are loads of hotels in harrogate, it just depends how much you want to spend. Some are very expensive, depends what you want, if it's just a bed for the night, i wouldn't go mad if you aren't going to use the hotels amenities.

How about splashing out a bit and staying friday night and saturday night and make a full weekend of it 8)

Change an event for Pops... I wouldn't bother.... he leaves early anyway :toofunny:

By the way Rich... isn't this meet a little close to being a Dad #2?

Just a bit, due date is the 15th March, it's not unusual to be two weeks either side which is why i was asking if maybee a later date to suit EVERYONE! would be an idea.

Everyone let me know what they think, with it being my hometown event i want it to be the best possible for all.

I think a two nighter would be fantastic, arrive sometime Friday and get settled into the hotel, out for a couple of beers and then head off for a really good meal. Have a few more beers but take it steady so we can all be nice and fresh for a great drive out on Saturday. Stop off for a bite to eat at dinner time, a bit more of a drive then back to hotel for a rest and get ready for one hell of a Saturday night out on the town.

Have a lazy sunday morning recovering, maybee even meet for Sunday lunch then 'bon voyage'

What do ya think, it's got me all gidy :thumb:

Is there a weekend a bit later on that suits all or not, a two night meet has to be a good idea?
