Anybody coming to this on Sunday. We'll be there on the Roger Clark Motorsport stand. Matt is entering the Icelandic drag car and hoping for some good results. For anyone who is not familiar with this car, it is a left-hand drive STi8 that has been coverted for drag racing. It is owned by Haldor Jonsson from Iceland and is driven by his son. I saw the car today at Matt's as it's now finished and it looks unbelievable. The workmanship is fantastic. If anyone can make it on Sunday, it will be well worth the trip, just to see this amazing car. It will obviously be in the mags later on in the year and should make the front covers I'd have thought.
I've watched this car being built over the last 6 - 7 months and I'm still gob-smacked after seeing it today. Matt's been testing it at Bruntingthorpe this week and is very pleased with it. The most amazing thing about this car, is that as powerful as it is, it still drives like a standard car. We'll take loads of photos on Sunday, so you can all see for yourselves.

What a great day out at Elvington. Roger Clark Motorsport entered the TOTB with Haldor Jonsson's STi8, driven by his son Gulli. Though they didn't actually achieve the best time of the day (they came second - pipped at the post by a Skyline), they have broken a world record. This is now officially the fastest manual Subaru over 1/4 mile from a standing start at 9.93 seconds. :woohoo:

Here are some pics.

We've just been looking at Haldor's website. It's in Icelandic at present and an English version is under construction, but the navigation tools are pretty much what you will be used to. There's loads of pics of the TOTB on Sunday so have a look. www.teamice.is
