Rally day 18 sep 2010

Postby 500tie » Tue Jan 19, 2010 4:23 pm

As the title suggests it is a rally based day at castle combe race ciruit with trade stands, club stands and plenty of action on the track.

Last year it was a fantastic turnout especially from the RB320 and RB5 owners club, but there was only 1 wr1 that i could see.

I was wondering if anyone was up for a club stand for the WR1 a good chance to show off everyones hard earnt motors.

If there is enough interest ill get onto the owners and get prices etc.. for a stand.

I'm always up for rally events. But got no WR1 :(

Club trip to ypres otherwise? I can get VIP passes for the entire crew without any probs. (Am press officer for the rally again)

I too don't have a WR1 but thought it would be nice to be able to put faces to names and a good day out. Id be up for the trip over to belgium especially for a bit of rallying however a club trip there i doubt that will ever happen, last year we struggled to get enough people to commit to a rolling road in manchester...

There aren't indeed many rallyfans here, despite the pedigree of the Impreza.

There is Pasty, Gee, myself, prob yourself and maybe one or two other fans.

Rolling roads won't be popular in general. First of all, people have had their WR1's for a while now and very few ar adding modifications to increase the power, so there is little need to have a RR. The novelty also wears and, let's not forget, going to a rolling road is about as boring as watching paint dry on a wall. If there aren't many people to socialise with...
