There is a great Indian restaurant just over the road too, far better than any scanky chish n' fips from HR, jeez I hate that place, Websters in Baildon is way better!!

Isn't Harry's walking distance from your gaff Mega? Do you get staff discount now?

Yer I could walk but i will be lazy... i mean i will show enthusiasm for the car club and bring the WR1 ;)

They can pay him in used oil milkshakes...

I remember that old italian/american burger place next door to it, and the tiny kiddies play park behind.

How that area has changed....even the mentalist hospital has been turned into 'luxury' apartments!

Well the mental hospital hyroids has changed into flats and over priced houses... the american place next door was called the Damned Yankee and was shut down after some bad food reports. It never did seem all that busy...

the kiddies play park - never seen that... im probably too big to play on the swings now

I can compare them to the power of the ST then

Note I will probably come in the RR. Weather is crap. Besides, after a belly buster an armchair to ride back home in will do just nicely... Plus, I ended up getting drunk last night and didn't wash the WR1.

Weather is glorious sunshine here now following the storm this morning - bring the WR1, we want to meet Kylie ;)

ScoobyDan - Not sure where you went out of HR's I was looking for you in the rear mirror but lost you, I hope you went the other way and weren't following us to the Shell?!?! Good to see you guys tonight - same again next thursday? ;)
Ive never seen a WR1 as mint as Stus, you obviously keep the car for special occaisions and spent a lot of time looking after it.

Dans new CSL M3 looked very nice even if it wasnt very loud.

Scooby Dan new car (dans old STI) looked very nice under the bonnet although it was a bit mucky... i think it needs a visit from Clark to get it back up to scratch again ;)...

John - your car looked a bit standard without those AP brakes mate... get saving! ;)

WR1Owner - good to meet you again and to see the WR1. Still cant believe the low mileage on the car - you want to look after it!

As for the diesel astra, maybe I should have a race with you iin the ST.. chipped ST vs chipped Astra... ;)

Some pics...

Some nice cars all nice and neatly in a row...

and someone that thought he'd park the other way

and to show how bad it looked again...

Great to me you all...

My car was the first one there so one could conclude that you lot parked facing the wrong way.

Jonny and Uncle - good to me you both, hope to see you at a meet soon.

John Mc Tiddler (Dogging Expert) Tiddler (Dogging Expert), I can now confirm that my first impressions of you were spot on :thumb:

Mega - you are exactly as I thought you would be. Dry northern monkey!

DanR - M-COCK, nuff said!

ScoobyDan, was it you I went past on the motorway? I was only doing 70mph so you must have been doing 20mph?

You wait till you see Chris B's!

Megaman wrote:Dans new CSL M3 looked very nice even if it wasnt very loud.
Love it a lot. All very purposful in looks. Sat nicely on the road too.

Megaman wrote:Scooby Dan new car (dans old STI) looked very nice under the bonnet although it was a bit mucky... i think it needs a visit from Clark to get it back up to scratch again ;)...
I'm sure Dan will spend the next few days solid cleaning it. White cars are easy, Tippex is cheap.

Megaman wrote:John - your car looked a bit standard without those AP brakes mate... get saving! ;)
He's now slouch in it either. I need the extra power to carry my weight. I think he'd make a great bitch to throw around.

Truely a low mile car.

Stu, top guy mate!!

I was hoping that you'd find the easy way back to the M1, I should have waited in the Shell with you and Dan to show you the main road back but assumed that your Sat Navs would find it easy enough?!?

When I floored it, it didn't take Dan long to catch me up   I hope the soot from yours is nowt serious... as Mega said - that is one clean WR1 pal, do you lick it every night for desert after the BBQ??

I'm not surprised your fuel went on those roads from the M1, not much crusing time... on-off-on-off

Dan, have to admit, that CSL looks cool in the rear view mirror mate. Love the lights and as Stu said - it sits very well, better than an M3.....

Hope you got home safely...

Mega - I'm defo wanting some APs, you never know, might just get some for Adam to fit

Anyone heard from ScoobyDan yet? I hope he was just getting used to the car because he was driving slowly all the way from Lawsons... he did say the clutch was savage :?

Johnny - you will do fine against Martins ST, I've driven it and it's fair to say that once you've put your £1 in the slot, as long as you are careful in the aisles, you'll have a chance

Fantastic to meet you guys last night. Got home just after 12. Do not take a slightly out of date anywhere near Leeds, OMFG what a nightmare, sending me the wrong way up one way streets! Got stuck and lost in Leeds for a good 20-30mins and then eventually found my way out, Very nearly gave up at one point.

Good to see the guys I've met before, and good to meet new faces too. Enjoyed a little blast in the countryside. Very happy with the car too, feels absolutely great, fun on twisties, excellent motorway cruiser too. VERY good on fuel too

Look forward to seeing you all again soon :D

Leeds has had a lot of development recently.... I should have waited in the Shell with you because you could have gone through the back of Harrogate to the A1/M1.... I naturally assumed your sat nav would have taken you that way, although it's longer.... it is certainly quicker

Great to meet up with everyone last night . I went the wrong way at the first roundabout so had to get the Tom Tom out.
Had a nice steady drive home getting to know the new car. 8)
Took it for its first run over the Cat and Fiddle today in the rain and suddenly everything started to make sense as the car felt absolutely awesome
Adam cast his eyes over the car and other than a few minor niggles all appears fine but I am still struggling with the clutch !

Glad you decided to take it easy. It's not the sort of car you jump in and go nuts! LOL

Clutch will take a bit of getting used to, not much though, 1 more day of driving max. Once you're used to it, you'll realise how good it is!

Be interested to hear hwo you find the handling compare to the wr1 with ARBS etc and standard setup. I always found the hawkeye felt better than the wr1...

Enjoy
