WRC Technologies Rolling Road 18th June !

Folks Folks, calm down.

The only cases i have heard of. With regards to going bang. Were all on heavily Modified Impreza Engines.

With mapping / fueling problems.

I have NEVER heard a standard engine go bang.

Even my ole Type R, which was rattling and smoking was remmaped, it spent all day on the rollers and had about 10 Runs in one day, it had done 60K and was on its last legs, but it didnt die.

you are right brian, we are going off topic, we should all be trying to make this the best wr1 meet to date, and try to get all the club down for this one, will be a fantastic day for all of us.

i think wrc have already booked us in for the 18th june, and i think they are monotiring this thread, so all it really involves is getting as many people there as humanly possible, there were about 12 that confirmed that the 18th was ok, we just need to get more and more down there for this day.

WR-1 owners A few points to allay some fears. At WRC we have the most advanced Rolling Road in private hands in the world. We have this located in the largest temperature controlled cell in Europe. Our fans are capable of pulling 1000 ft cu of air per second into the dyno cell. This means that the car is fed a constant supply of cold air to feed the intercooler and radiator for cooling.


The car itself is under load for around 7 secs per run and our aim is to obtain 2 runs each within 1 BHP of each other, this may take 2 runs or 6 runs dependant on the car.
This excercise probably puts less strain on any individual car than a fast run out with your mates. I am not saying a disaster could not take place but we attempt to avoid this by a number of actions, such as :-

1] Checking oil before the car is run
2] Live time info on Boost & AFR. This allows us to see something about to happen before it actually does.

I hope that this puts peoples mind to rest and we look forward to seeing a whole load of WR 1's on the day.
