Showells in Stourbrdige - 9.9/10

I got my first one year old WRX from them. I missed the boat with their WR1's and was forced into buying from Cheltenham. Any problems and services I have taken the WR1 to Showells who have treated me as though I got the car from them. Can't say fairer than that really. Also gave me a fantastic deal on the strut braces. I really thought that the service would change when Subaru UK took over but the boys still seem as passionate as ever. Well done from me.

On a side note my Mother usually takes my cars in for me and they look after her very well with fitting in around her hectic work life. Whether it be letting her keep the temp car longer, dropping my cars off at different locations, collecting the car.... and it always comes back mint.

Crossroads - 10/10 on sales and 8/10 on service

Heritage - Leicester 9/10 Sales and 7/10 on service

Carstins - 2/10 on service (They had 2 chances) and hence would never buy from them.

Lister Worcs 3/10 No locking wheel nut key, had to sort it out myself as they hadn't got a clue. They were going to chisel them off!!

Heritage Leicester 2/10 Wouldn't let me drive the demo. That cost them 2 sales.

Chandlers Grantham 3/10. Put the wrong tyres on the car.

Crossroads Shipstone on Stour. 5/10 Selling you mods without knowing enough about them.

Personally I prefer to keep away from dealers (since my warrenty is blown anyway) and stick with specialists such as Roger Clark Motorsport. Where you can always be sure of honest, impartial advice, even when you're not buying anything.

Stan Palmers In Carlilse 10 / 10
V Good service / sales
120 mile round trip for me but worth while
We have 2 Local Subaru dealers ( Durham & Hexham ) .
But would not use either
Bad reports on Sales & Service
And either no cars to Test drive or will not allow you to Test drive ? ( At all).

goodness me thats Service + some !!!!

Folks what ill do is make a average out of 10 for every dealer mentioned here.

So a List of many dealers will be in a list with 10/10 at No.1 Spot going down to the worst.

I must say, this is a list that our members have provided us with and not the Sole Veiw of WR1 Owners club.

Jaycee have you another disclaimer to add mate ??

Listers Worcs 9/10 until it turned out that the RB5 I'd bought had been super chipped.
They did remove the offending item and replace the ECU but didn't offer to cover my travel costs. Essex to Worcester and back.

Days Chelmsford 0/10 Worst service I've ever experenced with any car.
RB5 returned variously stinking of cigarettes and with broken door switch housings. Also they once refused to even look at the car when it had starting problems (claiming it was me touching the accelerator on start up  ) It was a problem with the key BTW. Sorted by the Colchester dealer.

Colchester (now closed) 8/10 Sorted out the problems Days could not find or fix. Then spoiled it all by fitting a cambelt one tooth out. (Days told me it was my "big" exhaust causing the engine problems  )

Wilsons Romford 8/10 Very professional and helpful. Found the misaligned cam belt. Good service. Had problems locating then diagnosing a wheel judder problem.

Haddocks Colchester 8/10 Not used for a service yet, but the only dealer who believed and found the wheel judder. So they get the WR1 servicing

Monty's Sheffield 9/10 Helpful during the long wait for the WR1. Good, quick 1000 mile service. Just too far to travel.

Whilst Days were by far the worst (still disgusted by their attitude), in my opinion there is very little to choose between any dealers as far as servicing is concerned. It's only when a fault develops that the good dealers rise to the top.

Do you get a 10% SIDC discount with them? The savings on one service can cover the membership.

Got my first Scoob from Crossroads (rb5) and the WR1, had loads of services and fixes and stuff done and have been really happy with the sales and after sales service, have gone out of their way to get things done for me. a definite 10/10 from me.

I've indeed heard horror stories about Crossroads. That included a guy finding the receipt of another garage for the service of his car under the carpet. Crossroads simply gave the car to an independent who did the job for 160 quid and then charged my mate 320 !!

Technical department of Simpsons Swindon:
2/10.
They never know anything themselves, it takes them donkey's years to get the engineer over and they are very reluctant to get stuff repaired under warranty. The sales force knows the car better than they do !

Hei, Jaycee was the one wetting his pants when I said I took my car to Belgium for a weekend when I needed a service !

Just got the aircon cleaned with a Subaru dealer here. 73 euro for material and products (included a new pollenfilter) and 20 Euro of labour... So about 60 GBP in total. No bad I tought.

I'm going to save myself on fitting next time. Swapping the pads and discs are easier on the WR1, than on my first car (1.4 Fiesta). Suggest you all do the same.

When I had my scoob I used Days of Chelmsford - useless absolutely useless - Service department made mistakes at every service and the car always came back worse than when it went in and still requiring work to be done. Sales department didnt take my inquiery for a WR1 seriously whatsoever and never even took up my request for a test drive.

Moved over to Mitsubishi as a result - have bought 2 evos from Ware garages (plus a clio), sales department is 100%, always willing to deal and as excited about the cars as I am, test drives never a problem and on the odd occasion ive taken friends there theyve actually cleaned my car while weve been out on test drives. Service department not quite so good, parts seem to take a while to come in and thus the car can be away for longer than expected, however, that said it always comes back running spot on and fully valeted, plus an evo service tends to be cheaper than a scooby one, which is good.
