Yep, I agree Kev, we have been with CR for some 7 years and purchased 5 Impreza’s from them between us, my wife’s, son’s and mine let alone all the servicing and aftermarket bits we have purchased.

Initially when we first started using them they were extremely helpful, friendly and new what they were talking about but as the years went on the lies and deceit started and the service side started to fail big style with no communication between the staff and one person say one thing and another the opposite.

I am of the opinion that they think that have had about as much out of me as they are going to get so I am not that important to them any more.

As with life all good things must come to an end but CR haven’t done them selves any favors with me.

glad im not the only one, i find that there is no customer loyaty there, i think that there reputation has gone to there heads, and all there out for these days is money. they have had thousands out of me, but the wr1 was bought there and always serviced there, so for the servicing side of things i will keep taking her there.

heres an exaple for you. i bourt my wr1 from them in january, had 1 lady owner who they supplyied the car to, and had a mint service history. i paid for it to be supergaurded, and had 4 new tyre put on. (which they paid for 2) bringing the total to just over 21 grand. but having just done 22k and being so mint i didnt mind pay over the odds.
Only to get the car home and relise that it was due a service, not just any service its 4year!!! me being me took it back and paid 500quid to have it done.Only to find out the brakes needed doing aswell!!! i stuwed on this for a week or so and got that pissed off with it i phoned the MD up. at which point he said that they would change the front discs and pads for free.....bloody right they will. but im still not happy because they could have done the rears as a good will jesture!! also the car has developed slight rusting ronund th O/S/F wheel arch. and the rear window leaks and rattles??? was there a recall for this??? they also sold the car to me minus the prodrive wheel caps, and minus key ring. as it stands at the mo im taking it back on saturday for the warranty window and rust.

all in all not happy..... wont buy my next one there!!!!! thats for sure!!

Edited to add Day's.

Agree, KT Green has given me excellent service... didn't buy the car from them but (service-wise) they have treated me like I was a life-long customer!! 1st class 9/10.

I have just spent the last 3 weeks trying to buy what looked like a decent WR1 from a used car dealers called Central cars in Essex.
I'm in Aberdeen and they were going to deliver it for me. They sent pictures and I was trying to arrange for a friend in the trade to go and give it the once over for me. First of all though the owner was going to call me and finalise a few things. So I waited and called and emailed and called again but the owner was always using it or it was getting serviced and cam belt done etc, anyway it was getting stupid now and nobody had ever called me back so I got a friend who lives fairly local to go in past. He couldn't believe their excuse " oh we have decided to keep the car for 3 months and have emailed myself to tell me this "(not :? )
So I spent the best part of a month hunting my ideal car down and the clunts wont sell me it? Despite it being for sale on their website, on Ebay and in Autotrader! What a shower o sh1te!
Sorry for the rant but I just found out and am very peed off.

SGT 0/10

Going to be making a complaint again today. Not the first time I've had to do this to their manager. This time Jens Forester went there for the new locks/keys to be coded and they have failed, miserably, claiming the reason they cannot do it, is that it's an Australian car. In fact, it'sa European import, which if they knew anything at all they would have been able to tell from the chassis number. I'm led to believe the coding for Euro cars is identical to UK cars. Promised a call back on Friday, never happened. Promised a call back on Monday, never happened. Unbelievable

Fecking useless they must have had that car for over 2 months now, what have they been doing :?

I'd ask them to replace it with an import STi Forester if they can't find locks for Jens

Central Subaru Willenhall (specialist) 10/10 alwaysa fits me in even if hes got cars queing out of the door. Well priced also

Showells Stourbridge 9/10 bang on with parts and customer service

Carstins Balsal Common 2/10 rude, ignorant and eventually found the part i wanted after disagreeing regarding its actuall existance, I wouldnt mind but it was just a standard subaru expansion plug for the P1 splitter...

Town & County Aberdeen

The wheels on the wife's car started to blister around the centre cap which is not uncommon on these type of wheels. Although the car is just past it's year warranty the wheels were fitted new when the car was purchased so i can feel a claim coming on.

Called T&C on last Friday to ask if coming in on Sat morning would be any good, told that none of the Managers/Supervisors would be available.
Also told that brake dust may be the problem!!!

Called yesterday morning to say the car was on its way in to T&C and would anybody be available over lunchtime, told to come after lunch as all Managers/Supervisors would not be available till after 13.00.

Arived at T&C approx 13.45 to be greatet by some stuck-up bird (receptionist) with a big arse who didn't have the decency to even make eye contact and took photo's of the car herself, no one else available to deal with. Advised that the claim could take up to 12 weeks to be sorted out.

Assuming that part of the problem is that Subaru is now in the same premises as Porche and Landrover and there may be some conlict.

These people seem to just make things up as they go along 0/10.
The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.

David Hendry Malmesbury near Swindon, (Specialist)

10/10 sales,
10/10 service,
10/10 parts.

To be honest ive had nothing but fantastic service from them, From buying the car to getting it serviced no problems and always a very good price.

Also if a phone call or email is promised you get one, Also they get alot of performance parts in from japan and fit them no problems.

got mine from arnold clark ford, sales staff are really cocky (know it alls)

got my subaru from there about 6 months ago

came with a full 2 years warranty

18k mile's

full service history

i thought it would be brilliant until the shocks needed done 2 weeks later, took it back under warranty to get fixed and they kept saying that theres nothing wrong with it,eventually they took the car in and said they would fix them but all they did was stuff them the grease

so eventually i got the shocks replaced after many phone calls, visits and me going off ma head when theres costomers inside

then the front brakes needed replaced, they agreed to replace them but used cheap sh!tty brakes

said they replaced the front 2 tyres but where almost bald

car never came with a cat which means the mot is invalid which means ma insurance is invalid

they mot'd it but they never had a cat on it?

said they gave it a full service but it oil was low and pitch black

had stickers on it saying "road tax only £35 a year" when its actually £210

never told me that the mileage was tampered with

they kept the reciepts of the re-map,exhaust and all over work carried out.took the floor mats out and original dump valve.all of which the previous owner supplied them with

now:the rear shocks are knackered again after 4k miles, the front brakes need replaced again.

when a go in to get something done, they try and be all cocky and act smart, deny any knowlege of the car having any faults (goods mechanics for you)

all in all they are a bunch of c0cks,stay away

S & S Services,Ayr.Scotland(Subaru and Isuzu)
Bought my car from here.10/10

Ian Grieve,Falkirk.Scotland(Subaru)
Had my car serviced here. 10/10
Put my car in for front discs and pads to be replaced. After leaving the dealer,i received a phone call an hour or two later to notify me that i'd be needing the small pins, must be at the caliper, replaced. To my utter disbelief they told me that they had to order them in and that meant that i had to leave the car there overnight.Just thought that they would've recommended me changing them when i phoned to book my car in.0/10

Ian Grieve
Phoned to get a price and availability for a set of pff7's,guy said he'd phone me back which he did.Told me that he couldn't get me a set, fair do's.He said what he would do though would e-mail every subaru dealer in uk to see if they had any and give me a call back, which he did.He told me a dealer down south had 2 (£150 plus vat each plus p&p)he also had one himself on display in the showroom, but he had to wait for someone to get a price for it(i know that only 3 wheels but i was gona take the gamble and try and pick up another 1 on a scooby site or flea-bay)A couple of days went by still no phone call so i called them"ah,i'm still waiting for someone to sort out a price for the one we have on display"ok i give the guy the benefit of the doubt.Another couple of days go by,call him again, still no joy 3/10

never ever ever ever buy a car from arnold clark. i bought a brand new leon cupra r in 2006 ( the last one in europe of the 225 version to be registered) saw the car it had a few issues so they said they would take care of them all. i went on holiday for 2 weeks came back went to pick up the car and it was not ready . they were still superguarding it.

Most of the faults had not been fixed but as numberplates etc had been changed over i had to take the car with the promise of all things would get done. after a couple of calls i took the car to another seat dealer and they looked over the car for me.
turned out the car had been registered in 2005 in bristol, the garage had gone bust and car de-registered then i bought it "new" in 06, the superguard had not been done right etc. they started to say that they would not fix car. got trading standards in went back to the garage and had a "word". nearly more than a word!!
in the end refused to take the car put a stop of sale on my trade in and had a word with john clark (arnolds son). he agreed service was not up to standard and gave me a refund, it took 10 days to change the plates over(at their expense)
so hammered fook out of it for 10 days 350 miles on the clock and had it sitting at 152mph. it was fecking stinking. drove over a newly tarred road (ON PURPOSE, sorry clark) did burnouts etc.
when i arrived back with the car there was a guy standing there that had bought it for what i paid for it.
gave it back and vowed to never use those cun*s again.

ian grive in falkirk have looked after my wr1 since i got it and will continue to do so, very good service and helpful. even when i bought my wr1 from somewhere else they gave it a check over for free for me. (cheers Gavin)

sorry Foley Need to disagree with u on S&S. just had problems with my imobiliser. was needing the code as it wasnt supplied with the car. Dealt with Brian (again) I reckon the old geezer is loosing it a bit, I was transferred between 4 people when i called for details, none with a clue wot i was on about. One simple call to Halleys saw me sorted. Ill be using them from now.

I would second that for RCM, a bit obvious coming from me,but they are very good, don't miss a thing, and their labour charges are less than a lot of dealers/stealers.

having bought our 1-year-old wr1 from carstins at balsall common (coventry), we've been using keith price in abergavenny.
hopefully carstins are no longer, as i had no confidence in them, as they were unable to rectify some paint damage to the rear bumper. anyway, we wanted the car, trading in our beloved p1.
ever since, keith price has done everything, bar tyres. been really pleased with their service. always same mechanic. first name terms. always decent loan car. only slight niggle, it's us who always calls them to find out if car is ready for collection - why is it so hard to contact the customer! :?
anyway, as i posted on here a 6-8 weeks ago, been thinking about finding a specialist in my area, as we have no intention of selling car, but still want it maintained well.
sadly, nobody offered any suggestion and i couldn't find anything in, "total impreza" mag, but a quick google and i found "scooby projects" in ledbury. website read well (& looks even better now). could see that they were passionate for customer service and quality maintenance (& upgrades if wanted).
contact was made with the owner (keith), who invited me over for a look-see / chat / coffee. ok, so no beige sofa in a waiting area and loan car wasn't available, but with good vibes all around the place for technical know-how and the belief that you're not just an ordinary car owner, but someone who actually enjoys your "special" car.
relationship started off well and i'm pleased to say that his establishment have serviced the car this week and also appear to have fixed a niggly electrical problem relating to the alternator. early days, but impressed so far. long may it continue............. :D
