WR1 in the Autocar Worlds Fastest Cars magazine

Postby Gangsta Smurf » Tue Nov 02, 2004 4:24 pm

Page 165 for a full feature.
Faster, better looking and outperforming the FQ330. with Official test results
the 24th fastest car in world fro 0-100-0, the FQ330 is 29th. lol!!

Given a wicked write up which I think was the fairest I have seen. They mentioned the lack of low down boost but then said it is totally forgotten about when you get further into the rev range.

Wel the 16 extra ponies do make a BIG difference to the WR1. So i'd guess the STi was a fair bit behind...

They didn't feature an STi ... they were only taking the most Extreme standard production cars with no tweeks. Hence the WR1 with 316bhp.

The Type 25 came second in the Greatest Drivers car ... awesome write up on that also - but they did mention how specialist a car the type 25 is.

The 0-100-0 for the WR1 was 16.38 seconds
for the EVO FQ 330 is was 17.32 seconds

First position went to a Caterham R500 Evolution with 10.73 seconds

I thought the T25 was a standard JDM STI modified by Litcfield's. Is it a factory built car?

The T25 wasn't part of the 0-100-0 section. It was in the best drivers car section, the winner of that was the Noble M400. Don't think they had any criteria for the best drivers car section.

To answer your question though jaycee the T25 is a modified motor not factory. Litchfield chucks the engine away and replaces with a 2.5 american block which he then turbo charges and adds adjustable suspension and carbon fibre body bits
