yeah they have had that for at least six months. mega sold it for about 10.5 k about 2 years ago.
he had it listed at 15k iirc, i bought mine and then about 2 weeks later he reduced it to about 10.5. was gutted . i would have snapped his handoff.

10.5 was a bit of a bargain.

Hi Guys,

Looks like it is my old car still for sale. I sold it for 10.5k and yes spent a good 30k on it over the years modding it a bit at a time playing chase the bottleneck. A squaddie bought it from me and drove it back to Ireland the night he bought it. I still remember getting a call from the tracker company telling me my car was in the middle of the irish sea lol

Not sure what the new owner did to the car, was mint when I sold it having had Scooby Clinic do a load of work on it and looking after it. Last thing it really needed was a swirl pot for the fuel to make it even better given fuel surge at 1/4 of a tank when on track via the g-force which used to rarely send it into limp mode via syvecs protecting the engine doing its job.

Cant believe its still at 15k, I currently have a C63 AMG and was tempted by the sound of the V8 and the power with comfort. But miss the scooby and will no doubt get another scooby one day :)

Cheers

Mega

Hi Mega - very nice choice - you been on the track in it?

No not yet, the problem with these big heavy powerful saloons is they wear a lot more than lighter cars like the scooby. So where as the scooby would do 3 track days to a set of tyres and last a year with AP brakes, the C63 would most likely only last half a day with the tyres melting fairly quickly and brakes too hot and knackered. 6.3 Litres is a heavy weight at the front to stop when going round track. Id like to have a few laps but think using it a few times a year on track will get very expensive.

Like most Subaru owners that move on to other cars, I still wish id kept mine and gone to Scoobyclinic or RCM from the outset instead of effectively going the expensive route of paying Adam at Autotecnica to try and fix things he had little experience in - hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Friend of mine has the Black 6.3 - can only do couple of hot laps before the Merc computer flicks into limp mode.

Yes it doesn't surprise me, such a big heavy car is bound to get hot quickly in track environment. I know the facelift model I have had a redesigned front end that doesnt cool as well as the pre 2012 model so gets hot quick!

There is a work around for it by putting oil coolers in the wheel arch's, its an off the shelf package from merc but they claim it not to be a design fault :toofunny:

I have had high temps but never limp mode, normally shredded the tyres before I get it hot enough for limp mode lol

I seen that and I thought I recognised it as your old car!
Mental how the prices have gone.
