It's kinda hard to see really compared to the old one, I'll try and get a better pic tomorrow when she gets cleaned!

No I haven't got a waterproof cover, I'm a bit dubious about using them. Once be got my garage re-arranged it will be in there hopefully. If I can't make it fit, then it will be in a mates garage or a rented one. Didn't get a chance to clean the car yesterday as the weather was shite but maybe today!

Watch the kerbs and any raised iron works, speed bumps etc. That splitter including your bumper will be off in a jiffy

You should have red carpet laid for the 1, not tatty cream offcuts :nono: :nono:

Haha sorry yeah couldn't find the red stuff so had to settle for cream! The new splitter is on as a result of a nasty speed bump at work which cracked the old one. Lesson learnt the hard way!

I too have a carbon splitter, think it goes well with the ice blue, and from a distance it just looks like any other black one :thumb:

Must admit the RB320 had a splitter like this and you couldnt feel when you parked too close to a kerb and knocked it off. Repairing it was a regular occurence, It used to have about 12 poppets that you had to clip back on to get it back on again. Most small speed humps were okay, large ones were a definite for ripping it off. Straddling stuff in the road like rabbits, cats, old people etc becomes impossible. In the snow his car also turned into a snow plough compared to my wr1 which worked a lot better

Gave the car a clean today so took a couple of pics of the splitter, luckily when I cracked the old one I used it as a test piece to check all the speed humps in my local area. They are all fine it's just the one at work the has a dip before it. Also I can't go to Wickes in it as the ramp onto the car park is a little steep.

Image

It looks close to the ground because the rear wheels were on ramps when I cleaned the underside.

Image

Was a bit touch and go putting it on the ramps, but the underside is looking nice and clean now.

And the finished article...

Car looks great, be careful with that front number plate, mr policeman will have you, as it is not the politically correct standard size :suss:

Thanks, I've got a standard size number plate on order so just gotta wait for it to arrive. When the weather gets better it'll get an even deeper clean and polish underneath. I just make the point of giving it a good spray underneath on a weekly basis to keep the salt at bay as I'm having to drive it this winter.

My number plate is the same "the smaller one"had it on since april 2012 and still havent been pulled but as soon as i write this i probably will, ive the standard prodrive exhaust...yours looks alot different, what is it?also does the c/f diffuser not get caught with the wind...thats what would worry me...have you done any mods to suit the exhaust, peter.

The exhaust is a ninja 2 exhaust, the cat has been removed also and the engine remapped with an RCM induction kit fitted. It makes a brilliant noise but not too loud like the blitz nur spec. I haven't noticed the diffuser catching the wind but to be honest I would know what to look for if it did. Would I expect to feel a little drag?

Cheers Steve, yeah the 'flintstone ramps' were given to me by my old next door neighbour. They are old and chunky but very functional if a little heavy!

Oh yes, in all honesty it's not too hard to keep clean after the treatment it's received from its previous owner! Do you have your 911 yet?

As usual a very impressive detail, like the part about protecting your arches. I have put an order in for a polisher and other bits and bobs. Did it come through?
