do it by the book for the first few hundred miles - say 500 - but don't sit at 4000rpm, vary the gear changes and rpm

after that don't be afraid to blip into the bigger revs - upto 6000rpm for instance when overtaking - just don't sit too high for too long

most of all, ENJOY 8)

If you're on the motorway make sure that you don't sit at the same revs all the time.

And don't forget to put a sign in the rear window that says "running in please pass"

as like every 1 says...

I run mine in for about 600 miles and then took the revs up ... slowly.. till i reached 1000 miles

its all about not loading the engine too much, a few high revs is fine but dont load it too much

and Towing is out of the question ;)

Before someone above mentions it, you have to make sure you don't drive like a fairy, this teaches the ECU a false picture of engine limits, so if you then come to give it some stick it will say 'no chance' and back off the timing etc, how do I know this, this is exactly what mine did at the rolling road meet, fortunatly Mike Wood was there from Prodrive so he reset the ECU and told me that I needed to use all of the rev range (he could see what revs I had used from new). So give it a bit of a rev every now and again. As far as I know the car that gave the most power on the day had been hammered the most during its running in period (flat chat down the mulsanne straight). dont know if thats any help
