List of mods allowed by L&V.....

Postby jaycee » Thu Nov 25, 2004 12:24 pm

Sorry for starting yet another thread about Liverpool & Victoria but I thought it might benefit the ''community''.

Allowed modifications which must be declared and given written consent.
Alloys.
Sunroof.
Towbar.
Disabled driver aids.

Mudflaps are classed as an "enhancement" and they do not require informing.

Everything else is not allowed this list includes amongst other things
PPP
Exhaust
Re-map
Springs or suspension
Spoilers
and on and on and on

The lady I spoke to was most helpful, but not helpful enough to want to insure my car.

Big question.........Should my ''friend'' declare his springs if he had them fitted at some point????????

Yes because if 'he' ever has to make a claim and the car is badly damaged to the extent he can't put the standard items back on before the insurance company send someone out to look at it 'he' will be buggered. If it's been modded but not declared i doubt the insurance will pay out.

Do you think an insurance inspector could tell the difference? I'm not convinced he'd know. I know they're a different colour when new but they'll be blathered up.
